Change is Good

Greg's purpose was to shake us up and make us think about BRUU.  BRUU is too big to continue to operate as a pastoral church, with the pastor solely tending to the congregation.  Change happens in all our lives and we simply cannot 'wish it would stay the same as when Nancy was here" if BRUU is to continue to thrive exist.

With that being said, when we had a family crisis, Greg was who I called and he knew what to do.  I felt he was there when we needed objective guidance.  Greg was professional and confidential and appreciated for his support.

We knew Greg would only be with us a short time and I have enjoyed what time we have had him with us.  His sermons are also thought-provoking and inspiring.  I like the power point because I don't have to fumble with my glasses to read it and I can keep looking forward to follow the 'leaders' instead of staring down at the books.

Change is going to happen if we continue to live.  When something seems different and my first reaction is to reject it, I repeat a mantra:  "Change is Good" and I find a way to deal with it.  Another pastor will cross our paths.  Until then, I intend to learn something from every person who crosses my path.

I wish him well and glad he has been with us.
